What are your favorite fictional characters?

I'm going to try to keep this as spoiler free as I can. This is a list of my favorite characters from books, TV, movies, and video games.
Aelita Schaffer from Code Lyoko
I’ve been a rabid fan of Code Lyoko for many years, but Aelita’s character development as the show progressed astounded me. If the show’s primary antagonist, XANA, was supposed to be a digital Satan then Aelita was portrayed as a digital angel. I have to give the writers immense credit for making a (what appeared to be at the time) artificial intelligence relatable and even likable. Aelita is extremely likable protagonist. She may not be the strongest fighter – for most of the series, she’s probably one of the weakest fighters – but she shows a willingness to sacrifice her life for the sake of others on numerous occasions. In the first season, she was presented as a sentient computer program, but somehow she was written in a but I wanted to hear y'alls. What makes them special to you?
